Brian Crain

Brian Crain is the Lead Pastor of Progression Church. He is married to his best friend, Hannah Crain who is a pharmacist at Baton Rouge General. He received a Bachelor’s degree from ULM in Kinesiology and a Masters of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Brian served in student ministry for five years in Louisiana, pastored FBC Kopperl in Kopperl, Texas for three and a half years, and currently travels as an itinerant preacher when his schedule allows. His preaching style is engaging, practical, gospel-centered, and easy to understand.

Joe Handy

Joe serves as teaching pastor and family pastor of Progression Church. He and his wife Jessica, an RN at Our Lady of the Lake, are busy raising their daughter, Evangeline ("Vanny") and son Abram. He is currently pursuing his Masters of Theological Studies at Southwestern Theological Seminary. Joe has a passion for God’s Word and loves helping others understand and apply it to their lives through simple and practical teaching.

Michael Young

Michael makes up one half of Progression Church's worship pastor team. He also works as an English teacher at Central Middle School. When Michael isn't working, his favorite thing to do is travel with his wife Maranda. His musical taste is far reaching, which spills over into his approach to leading worship. He strives to create an engaging and dynamic musical backdrop that enables people to have an uninhibited worship experience, where they can encounter Christ in a very real way.

Ryan Andress

Ryan makes up the other half of Progression Church's worship team. He has served as a worship leader for the better part of the last decade, and he continues to learn and grow both as a musician and as a pastor. Ryan also works as a Registered Nurse. He and his wife Aryel enjoy spending time exploring the city, and serving together.

Joe Ashley

Joe serves as teaching pastor and administrative pastor at Progression Church. He has been working in ministry since 2002 with churches in Calhoun and Ruston, LA, as well as Kopperl, TX. He earned his Masters of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2013. Joe is well prepared for his role in the church, as he and his wife Jaimi have four little boys: Titus, Gideon, Silas, and Judah.
